The Krystal Beach Hotel on Harbour Island, Gordon’s Bay, is a local landmark. One of the largest buildings in the area, the hotel is spacious, contemporarily decorated and designed to enjoy the northwest view across the small boat harbour. There are a number of restaurants and pubs in the hotel and on Harbour Island, but it is the Krystal Restaurant that tops the list for excellent food, great service and perfect setting.
Like the rest of the hotel, the Krystal Restaurant is spacious and sophisticated. The murals are eyecatching; the seating very comfortable and the views through the folding deck doors add a holiday flavour to this fine dining experience.
On each occasion that I have dined at Krystal Restaurant, I noticed that the Chef was on hand to chat to the patrons. Being a foodie, I am always keen to find out more about the menu. On my last visit, the Chef recommended the curry. I am a huge curry fan and have to say that Krystal Restaurant serves some of the best I have had. Not only was the curry good, but so were all the accoutrements.
The restaurant is also famous for its gourmet French sandwiches on homemade bread, fresh salads, and an impressive selection of seafood dishes. The menu also features a regularly updated Chef’s Choice and elegant desserts that could be mistaken for miniature works of art! Breakfast is a grand affair. The buffet offers a mix of continental and English breakfasts. The breads are freshly-baked, the fruit fresh and the choice of cheeses, cold meats and condiments impressive.
I noticed a mix of clientele – from large party groups to individual businessmen, like myself, all enjoying this restaurant. Despite its grandeur, Krystal Restaurant is a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience that I will gladly visit again. Krystal Restaurant is open from 07h00 in the morning until 22h00 at night. Breakfast is served from 07h00 until 10h00 and lunch from 12h00. Dinner service generally starts from 18h00.
